Pastor Hewitt served as an Assistant Pastor, a Youth Leader, Children’s Church leader, and the author of Pastors Page before the Incorpation of the Door of Christian Mercy.

 Door of Christian Mercy began life in rural Southern Georgia, but has since grown considerably and now could be said to span the globe as it has changed to a primarily online ministry. The pastor is known to most as simply "Pastor Hewitt" and that is how we shall leave it for now. It doesn't matter what you call her, all that matters is the word. That is what she believes, and that is what this church was founded on years ago when we were nothing more than a few people in a walled in garage. All that maters is the word, and it's so much easier to be merciful to others once you realize that everything they want mercy for means nothing. It's just the word that matters.
